RER at InnoTrans 2026: from individual components to integrated solutions for electric transport

At InnoTrans 2026, RER – Riga Electrical Machinery Factory will present a range of products and solutions for railway and urban electric transport.

On display at the RER stand:

  • An asynchronous traction motor for mining applications, designed to operate under demanding conditions;
  • A system comprising six auxiliary power converters for urban electric transport;
  • A tram motor-gearbox unit – an integrated traction solution combining an electric motor and a mechanical transmission;
  • Resistor elements for an electrodynamic braking system, designed to withstand high electrical and thermal loads;
  • Exhibits demonstrating RER’s repair and refurbishment capabilities, including a sample commutator for a DC traction motor.

Together, these exhibits demonstrate the breadth of RER’s capabilities – from the development and manufacture of new traction solutions to the modernization, repair and life extension of equipment already in operation.
