History

“Riga Electric Machine Building Works” (JSC RER) was organized in 1946 at the base of former Russian-French enterprise “PROVODNIK” (established in 1888). In 1993 the enterprise was reformed as joint-stock company and in 2002 company was privatized.

Our profile

The core business of company is manufacture of traction equipment for electrical trains, light railways and fork lifts, lighting and power supply equipment for passenger coaches. Company has a long traditions in designing and manufacturing of it.

At the moment RER has the following productions:

• motor and generator production;
• production of control devices;
• metal working productions.
